The University of Belize (UB) receives an annual subvention from the Government of Belize via the Ministry of Education to help offset the cost of providing education to the citizens of Belize. As the UB continues to grow and add new programs, the expansion also incrementally increases the expenses of running the institution. The university has created the “University of Belize Development & Endowment Fund” as a means to raise funds for scholarships and build capacity.
