The Belmopan Campus is the University of Belize’s main campus, offering the widest range of academic programs and vibrant campus life. As the heart of UB, it provides students with rich learning opportunities alongside a dynamic community experience.

Life at the Belmopan Campus

Home to every faculty, including the University of Belize School of Medicine, the Belmopan Campus provides students with countless opportunities for learning, research, and personal growth. Facilities include the library, computer labs, the Recreation Center, the Wellness Center, and more. Beyond academics, the campus is alive with culture and community. Our centers, such as the Regional Language Center and the Intercultural Indigenous Language Institute, host events that celebrate Belize’s diversity, bringing students together in meaningful and memorable ways. The Belmopan Campus is also the main venue for many of UB’s major events, including Science Open Day and various symposiums throughout the year.

Library

The Library on the Belmopan Campus is located at the Faculty of Management & Social Sciences building. Learn about the services offered by UB's Library.

Computer Labs

UB provides multiple computer labs across the Belmopan Campus, located in the Jaguar, Hummingbird, RLC, and Engineering buildings. The Fultec Lab in the Jaguar Building serves as the only general access lab for all students.

Recreation Center

The Recreation Center is the heart of UB’s sports activities, featuring a basketball and volleyball court, a fully equipped gym, a student lounge, and a spacious open field for outdoor events and games. Find out more about sports at UB.

Hummingbird Analytical Lab

The Hummingbird Analytical Lab supports research and monitoring in many areas by providing high‑quality testing services and advancing scholarly research.

Regional Language Center

The Regional Language Center is home to UB’s cultural and arts departments and also serves as the hub for language classes. See RLC services.
The Research Office is also located at this building.

Cafeteria & Student Development Center

The Student Development Center is a space for students to relax, connect, and enjoy campus life. It houses the cafeteria, the Office of the Coordinator of Student Services, and even a spot to pick up UB merchandise.

Wellness Center

The Wellness Center provides both medical and mental health support, with a nurse and counselor available to assist students. If you need help, simply stop by the office and ring the doorbell.

Admin Building

The Admin Building is your go‑to place for essential student services. Here you can access documents and forms from the Records Office, make payments to UB, and visit the Admissions and Student Affairs offices. Check the map below to find its location.

Rental Spaces
