Purpose: This agreement between National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan, and the University of Belize, Belize, promotes academic collaboration. It includes faculty and staff exchanges, student exchanges, dual degree programs, joint research, and other agreed activities. Financial arrangements will be detailed separately. The agreement can be modified by mutual consent, effective upon signature by both university Presidents, with a five-year duration, automatically renewable unless terminated with a three-month notice period.

Purpose: This Memorandum of Agreement (MOU) between the University of Belize (UB) and California Baptist University (CBU) establishes cooperation between the two institutions. UB, represented by its Interim President Vincent Palacio, and CBU, represented by its Vice President of Global Initiatives Dr. Larry Linamen, aim to foster collaboration in education, research, and service. UB, established in 2000, emphasizes excellence in higher education and national development. CBU, founded in 1950, is dedicated to helping students “Live Your Purpose.” The agreement outlines the legal representatives of each institution and highlights their respective missions and academic offerings.

Purpose: The Letter of Intent to Collaborate (LOIC) outlines the principles for establishing a collaborative partnership between the University of Belize (UB) and the University of South Carolina (USC). Both parties aim to cooperate to share knowledge, expertise, and resources in alignment with their missions. The collaboration seeks to build on existing relationships or form new ones to support mutual programs and objectives. While this LOIC provides a general overview, a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be developed and agreed upon by both parties. Specific collaborations will be discussed and agreed upon, adhering to high scientific quality and ethical standards. The LOIC is not legally binding but serves to express cooperative intentions and guidelines.

Purpose: University College of Belize (UCB) and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW) declare their intention to cooperate in fields of study, teaching, research, and continuing education. The agreement entails the exchange of undergraduate students, academic, and administrative staff, as well as encouraging joint academic projects. Cooperation extends to all subjects and certain areas of institutional administration. Subsidies, if available, may cover travel and living costs for participants, with a focus on minimizing additional expenses, particularly for students. Insurance and liability conditions are governed by the host institution. Rules for student exchange include enrollment in good standing, selection by home institutions, and equal balance in exchange numbers over time. Participants are responsible for travel and living costs, with assistance provided by both institutions for accommodations.

Purpose: The University of Belize (UB) has been approached by both Ayuda en Accion and CSUCA to form an alliance for submitting proposals for the same DEFRA project. After careful consideration, UB acknowledges that CSUCA, a longstanding partner, offers a better option due to familiarity, existing collaborations, and regional partnerships. While Ayuda en Accion is a newer partner, UB is less familiar with their network and providing requested information would be challenging. Acknowledging the potential conflict, UB recommends committing exclusively to either Ayuda en Accion or CSUCA to avoid reputational risk. UB suggests favoring CSUCA due to the established relationship and recommends informing both parties transparently about the decision. The attached revised agreement from Ayuda en Accion is provided for consideration.

Purpose: The University of Belize, located in Belmopan City, Belize, Central America, and Prairie View A&M University, situated in Prairie View, Texas, USA, recognize the value of Global Education and their shared interests in teaching, research, and service opportunities. Through this Memorandum of Understanding, both institutions aim to promote institutional collaboration in a structured manner. The objectives outlined in Article I emphasize the framework for developing and executing collaborative activities. Article II delineates the scope of activities, including but not limited to the exchange of scholarly publications, faculty, staff, and students, study abroad programs, collaborative research projects, academic and administrative discussions, co-sponsorship of events, cooperation in education development, and pursuit of consulting and project opportunities.
