The Master’s in Educational Leadership (MED) is designed to enhance Belize’s current educational framework by integrating contemporary leadership concepts applicable to schools and colleges. The program aims to capacitate students with the skills to become competent leaders, driving the development of educational institutions.

Admission Requirements

Academic Qualifications
  • A recognized Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (on a 4.0 scale) or upper second-class honors (on US/UK/UWI scales).

  • Recent Resume/Curriculum Vitae.
  • Job Letter.
  • Acceptable Recommendations.
  • Personal Statement:
    • Describe your reasons for applying, preparation for the field, and how it aligns with your career goals.
    • Highlight relevant background and interests.
    • Limit to two pages, typed in APA format.

Interview
  • Applicants may be required to attend an interview before a final decision is made.

Additional Requirements for International Students
  • Proof of English Competency (TOEFL - with a score of 87 or above, IELTS - with a score of 5 or above, or equivalent).
  • Official report from a reputable credential evaluation service (Josef Silny or WES).
  • Full payment of the first trimester or semester tuition and fees.
