The collaborative agreement between the University of Belize (UB) and TASA outlines a strategic partnership for the operation and management of the Calabash Caye Field Station (CCFS). Key points of the agreement include preferential billing rates for TASA guests, menu options for groups, insurance coverage, priority access for UB affiliates, and responsibilities regarding maintenance and caretaking.

UB undertakes reservation management and administrative assistance, while TASA commits to transportation, adherence to CCFS policies, and support in seeking donors for facility enhancement. The agreement establishes clear guidelines for sustainable utilization of CCFS assets and facilities, fostering a mutually beneficial partnership.

A collaboration where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belize, the Taiwan Technical Mission, and the University of Belize converge as catalysts for change. United under a shared vision, these entities collectively embark on a journey to foster climate-smart agricultural entrepreneurship.

At the heart of this endeavor lies the “UB Climate-Smart Agricultural Entrepreneurship Cohort II” project, a beacon of innovation amidst post-pandemic uncertainty. Enshrined within the Work Plan for enhancing women’s economic empowerment in Latin America and the Caribbean, this project signifies a pivotal step towards inclusive growth and resilience.

With the Grantee empowered to execute the project’s obligations, the Grantor extends its support, recognizing the alignment of the Project with the broader Work Plan objectives. This agreement stands as a testament to their shared commitment to catalyzing positive change.
