Admission Requirements

Minimum GPA Requirement
- Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 grading system from their high school or junior college.
- Official transcripts must confirm graduation from a recognized four-year high school (as approved by the University of Belize, the Ministry of Education, or a U.S. regional accrediting agency).

ATLIB Exam Exemptions and Requirements
- Applicants who score at least 35/50 in Math and 60/100 in English on the ATLIB are exempt from UB Placement Exams.
- Applicants scoring 34 and below in Math or 59 and below in English may need to enroll in developmental courses.
- ATLIB scores older than five years require students to register for UB Placement Exams.

Alternative Admission Qualifications
The University will also accept any of the following in place of the ATLIB general test requirement:
- Four CXC passes, including English and Mathematics.
- A combined score of 890 on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
- A score of 18 on the American College Test (ACT).
